How to play
Pick 1 vs 1 to take on a neighbour, or 2 vs 2 to team up with a friend against two of them. Then comes the toss: win it and you choose to bat or bowl first; lose it and the other side chooses.
- A match is two innings of 2 overs each, with a 90-second clock per innings. An innings ends when the batting side is all out (2 wickets in 1 vs 1, 4 in 2 vs 2), the overs or the clock run out, or the chasing side passes the target.
- Batting: tap the street, press Space, or press the round Swing button when the ball reaches the glowing ring in front of you. Perfect timing is a four or a six; a little early or late is a one, two or four; an edge is a single or a dot, and sometimes a catch. Leave a ball that is on the stumps and you are bowled.
- Bowling: an arrow slides along the length bar at the bottom. Tap, press Space or press Bowl to stop it. Green, a good length, is your best chance of a wicket; gold gives away more runs; pink is a wide, worth a run to the batters, and the ball does not count.
- In 2 vs 2 the batters take turns after each wicket and the bowlers take alternate overs. When your teammate bats or bowls, they play by themselves and you cheer from the wall.
- Rupees: every match pays Rs. 50, plus Rs. 100 for a win (Rs. 40 for a tie), Rs. 1 for every run your team scored and Rs. 10 for every wicket your team took. You start with Rs. 100.
- The gali shop: better bats make batting easier (a bigger timing window, or more power) and better balls make bowling easier (a wider green zone, a slower arrow, or more wickets). Outfits, accessories and decorations are just for looks, and you can show or hide each decoration on the street.
- The street: a goat, a motorcycle, a car or the chai seller sometimes passes behind the pitch, and a six sometimes lands on a roof. None of it ever changes the score: a six on a roof is still six.
Common questions
Are there ads?
No. Not a banner, not a pop-up, not a “watch a video to carry on”. There is no advertising in Pakistani Street Cricket at all, and there is nothing to buy with real money: rupees are earned by playing.
Does it really play offline?
Yes. Once you have opened it once with a connection, it plays with no connection at all — from your home screen, in aeroplane mode, anywhere. It never needs the internet to play, and it never goes online in the middle of a match.
My swing did not count
You get one swing per ball, and it counts from the moment your finger lands — on the street or on the Swing button — not when you lift it. A tap before the ball has left the bowler’s hand does nothing, so it never wastes your swing; the button turns grey whenever there is nothing for you to do, such as while your teammate or the neighbours are playing.
My rupees or my shop items disappeared
In a browser, your progress is saved in that browser, on that device only. It is lost if you clear the site’s data or browsing history, and private or incognito windows forget it when closed. It does not transfer between devices or browsers.
In the Android app, your progress is kept in the app’s storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in your phone’s Settings removes it.
I left a match and got nothing
“Leave match” ends it with no reward — rupees are paid only for a finished match. A match takes about three minutes, and there is no pause.
It says the game is offline, or looks out of date
In a browser, Pakistani Street Cricket keeps a copy of itself in your browser so it works without a connection. When a new version is published, the first launch with a connection downloads it and the launch after that runs it — so if something looks stale, open it once more. Reloading twice is always enough. The Android app has the whole game inside it and never needs a connection; new versions arrive as app updates from the store.
The game runs slowly or stutters
In a browser, close other tabs and reload the page. If it continues, send us your device model and browser — performance reports genuinely help, and we act on them.
Can I turn off the sound?
Yes. Tap the speaker in the top-left corner of the game, above its title; it is crossed out while the sound is off, and the game remembers your choice. The game is fully playable with sound off. Nothing plays until your first tap, and on an iPhone the ring/silent switch silences it too.
How do I report a bug or suggest something?
Email us. Small games are shaped by the people who play them, and suggestions are read by the person who makes the game.
Accessibility
The game needs one input: every swing and every ball is one tap, one click or the Space key, and every other button can be reached with Tab and pressed with Space or Enter. It works fully with sound off. In a browser, it respects your system’s reduced-motion setting — the big words stop bouncing, the kids stop jumping and the rupee purse and the clock hold still, while play stays identical. If something makes the game hard for you to play, please tell us — that is a bug we want to know about.
