Help for Chowk Jam: Truck Art Escape

How to play
The lot is six cells by six, with the gate on the right of the third row. Get the pink chingchi out of the gate.
- Every vehicle slides only along its own direction — a bus parked across the lot slides left and right, one parked up and down slides up and down. Nothing turns and nothing jumps.
- Drag a vehicle and it snaps to a cell when you let go. One vehicle sliding any distance is one move; a drag that ends where it started is no move.
- Length is the puzzle. The Suzuki Bolan, the Hiace and the chingchi fill two cells; the Karachi W-11 and the painted coach fill three.
- The plaques show your moves, the level's proven minimum (MIN) and your best for that level. There is no timer: clear it in any number of moves, then come back for the minimum if you like.
- UNDO takes back a move and RESET puts the lot back as it started. The arrows beside LEVEL replay any level you have reached.
On a keyboard: Tab and Shift+Tab pick a vehicle and the arrow keys slide it one cell at a time; Z, Ctrl/Cmd+Z or Backspace undoes; R resets; H switches the horns; N and P, or Page Down and Page Up, change level; Enter goes on from a win.
Common questions
Are there ads?
No. Not a banner, not a pop-up, not a “watch a video to carry on”. There is no advertising in Chowk Jam at all, and there is nothing to buy.
Is every level really solvable?
Yes. Nobody draws the boards: each one is generated, and before you see it the game searches every position the lot can reach, proves the chingchi can get out, and proves it again by a second, independent search. A board that cannot be proven is never shown. The MIN plaque is the fewest moves the search found — nobody can do it in fewer.
Does it really play offline?
Yes. Once you have opened it once with a connection, it plays with no connection at all — from your home screen, in airplane mode, anywhere. It never needs the internet to play.
It says “Packing the lot...”
The first levels come with the game. Further on, your device searches for each new board itself, and a hard one can take a little while on a phone. It only happens once per level: your device remembers the answer, so reopening that level is instant.
I closed the game and came back
Nothing is lost. It reopens on the level you were playing, with the board just as you left it, or on the next level once you have won.
My progress disappeared
Your progress is saved in your browser, on that device only. It is lost if you clear the site’s data or browsing history, and private or incognito windows forget it when closed. It does not transfer between devices or browsers.
Is there sound?
Yes: every vehicle has its own horn when it moves, and the escape plays a truck’s pressure-horn tune. Nothing sounds until you first touch the game or press a key. The HORN button under the lot, or H on a keyboard, switches all of it off, and the game remembers your choice.
It looks out of date
Chowk Jam keeps a copy of itself in your browser so it works without a connection. When a new version is published, the first launch with a connection downloads it and the launch after that runs it — so if something looks stale, open it once more. Reloading twice is always enough.
The colors look muddy or too dark
Some browsers darken pages on their own when your phone is in dark mode. In Samsung Internet, turn on Settings › Labs › “Use website dark theme”, and the game shows its own colors.
The game runs slowly or stutters
Close other tabs and reload the page. If it continues, send us your device model and browser — performance reports genuinely help, and we act on them.
Who made the art?
The painted vehicles, the lot and everything else you see in the game were made with AI, drawn by Claude on Claude Design, in the style of Pakistani truck art.
How do I report a bug or suggest something?
Email us. Small games are shaped by the people who play them, and suggestions are read by the person who makes the game.
Accessibility
The game has no timer and nothing to react to quickly: every move waits for you. It can be played entirely from a keyboard, as above, and it announces what happens to screen readers. It turns to fit your screen, upright or on its side. The horns are only a flourish, and nothing in the game depends on hearing them. If something makes the game hard for you to play, please tell us — that is a bug we want to know about.
Privacy
