Roti Jal Gayi!

A kitchen with flowered tiles and a truck-art band along the wall, a hot tawa on the stove, and a basket waiting at the back of the counter. A roti drops onto the iron and starts to brown on the side you cannot see. You have one tap to flip it, and one tap to take it off. Leave it too long and the whole kitchen knows: “Roti jal gayi!”

How it plays

One tap

Flip it, then take it off

Every roti is exactly two taps. Tap when the side on the iron has turned golden and it flips; tap again when the second side is golden too and it hops into the basket. The gauge under the stove shows the side you cannot see, and the spotted golden stretch is worth the most.

Three wasted and the stove goes off

Not raw, not burnt

Take a roti off with a side still raw (“Kacha!”) or let it burn, and it is wasted. Waste three and the stove goes off. Every roti makes the tawa hotter, so the golden moment keeps getting shorter until it beats you. Tapping early or on a rhythm never works: you have to watch the color.

Play it now, free, in your browser

No ads. Not a banner, not a pop-up, not a “watch a video to carry on”. No download, no account, nothing to install, and nothing to buy. Once you have opened it once with a connection it plays with no connection at all: it never needs the internet to play.

It runs in any modern browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer. On a keyboard, Space or Enter is the tap.
